Alton Brown’s Gear for Your Kitchen (review)Alton Brown may be the patron chef of geeks -- if being featured in an article in Wired magazine and discussions on Slashdot aren't enough to qualify him for the title, then Good Eats -- his program on the Food Network probably is. In addition to showing the viewers how to cook, Brown spends a lot of time covering why things work like they do -- how different chemicals and proteins interact with each other and heat to produce specific results. Besides, it's not like they don't know you'll go for it -- how much extra money did you pay the oil companies to not put lead in your gasoline?...

But when you first sign up for Twitter,...

Iced Tea CommunistsIn case you run out of interesting things to actually read, do or brew regarding your tea, you can read this strange debate as to whether iced tea is actually a communist drink. Personally, I'm inclined to think that ice water with lemon is actually much more communist than iced tea... Your thoughts? ...
