Apparently Wal-Mart will announce next week plans to “embrace RFID technology in a serious way”

(RFID tags are little miniature transponders that can be identified with a radio-frequency tag reader—very similar technology to “toll tags” on a car)

Is it just me, or does anyone else suspect that as soon as Wal-Mart has all of it’s products tagged, someone else will be along with a scanner to tell us just who’s been shopping at Wal-Mart?
