For at least one brief moment, I’m going to take back each and every nasty thing I’ve ever said, suggested or thought about Keanu Reeves.
According to Hello Magazine Reeves is giving away 50 million pounds (that’s about $75 million, for the pound challenged) of his earnings from The Matrix sequels to the special effects teams that made it happen. That translates to about 1.75 million pounds for each of the 29 team members.
During filming, he also gave each of the stuntmen on the film a brand new Harley Davidson (6,000 pounds each).
Sure, he can afford it. As he said, “I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries”—but that doesn’t make it any less generous, nor does it distract from his obvious insight as to much of the reason for his success in these films.

Attention People—PLEASE WAKE UP This is an article I wrote TWO YEARS AGO just commenting that I thought it was a nice thing that he did. I’m just some guy writing a blog, and Reeves doesn’t read this nor does he know me from Adam. If you add to the litany of people asking for a handout below, it isn’t going to get you any money, but it IS going to make anyone who runs across your comment seriously question your critical reading skills…
Mr. Reeves, My frineds familys 23 year old son just jumped off a cliff on vacation a week and a half ago, cracked his skull and broke his back. He is now in surgery trying to infuse C4, C5, C6 so he can hold his head up. He is Little Rock Ark in the hsopital and we are trying to find out how to raise money for his hospital bills. Have some ideas, please let me know
Don’t bother star’s with things like that. Go local… Ask around, raise a charity, start a fund. Do activities in your local area… But how in the world do we know that you are realistic? Throw up a link or something to the local paper. They *do* stories on that sort of thing, a good friend of mine fell (didn’t jump… common sense over-ruled that one) from a cliff and broke his neck/back area. They did a story on it… Sorry if I’m cynical, I’ve seen enough of those “Please help this dying baby/child/infant/person who was born without eyes/heart/lungs/testicles” to get a nice calloused soul.

It’s amazing the number of people that want something from a celebrity but won’t take 30 seconds to read two paragraphs to figure out they’re in the wrong place.
Keanu Reeves is about as likely to see your plea for cash here as he would be if you stuck a post-it note to the copy of People magazine at the grocery store checkstand.
I can’t tell you who Keanu Reeves helps, but I CAN tell you that God helps those who help themselves first.

I’m just another one of your infinity lillion admirers and not sure if you even read these forums but I don’t know where else to go and I need your personal opinion/critique. I’m trying to find a way to build a non-profit, proto-type industry promoting world unity and use the proceeds to stop the destruction of the rain forest and replant it so the children have a half of a chance of survival on this planet. Nobody seems to be doing much to stop our obliteration and I can’t just sit and watch us go down without trying to stop it. I have written a rough draft of a book of rhymes pertaining to sprirtual growth that I would really love your advice on. I want to know if you think it is good enough to be published and use the proceeds to save the rain forest ie the earth’s inhibitants. People don’t really understand the connectiveness of all things. I know this is less than a shot in the dark asking here, but I’ve written Depak Chopra, Bill Gates, Jimmy Page, Neil Walsch, ect. and only rec’d. comment (good)from Thom Hartman but his press had closed down. I’m just a single mother of 5 with nothing but somebody has to start making people see the importance of saving the earth and if I can get any help/advice/assistance it’d be eternally appreciated. I have searched many sites, to find one that Keanu might read. I sat here and read all these articles/comments, and I cant express the greed that I have seen, its unfortunate! I want to say that I am deeply touched by Keanu, I have never really been into posts/articles. But this has touched me, touched me in a way, that I cannot express…well not on here. Hold your head high Keanu, everything will work out. All things happen for a reason, and I truly believe that. I know Keanu may never read this, but I feel fortunate enough, to have at least tried. Right now, do all you can do, but dont get stressed over it, take some time for yourself, as you need that too. If there is one thing that I could do to help I would. I wish you the best of luck, and feel for you, I know what you are going through is not an easy task. But remember, your sister will always love you.

When I was 15, I almost lost my mother to breast cancer. To be in that kind of situation is earth shattering, because you can’t do anything but watch, pray and hope.
Now a good friend of mine has been diagnosed with second stage colon cancer.
All anyone can do, is love unconditionally, and see to the comfort and needs of the ones they love.
Keanu, if you do read these boards, I pray for Kim, for her to be strong, and painfree, and for you, to give you strength when you need it the most.
Here is a point to ponder…
…if anyone would ever see Keanu Reeves walking on the sidewalk, would you:
a)mob him like a selfish individual?
b)stare and think you would go blind?
c)smile and say hello, and allow him to walk his way in peace?
Personally I would choose c.
He has far too much on his mind with personal matters to worry about and I would hate to make his stress levels any worse.

I was a HUGE fan of Keanus for many, many years. However, his lack of consideration for even acknowledging his fans has changed my attitude towards Keanu.
I have read about his troubles (horrible thing to lose a child and then the mother, as well as his sister being sick), and know the man is a workaholic; however, he will not even open a fan letter. States he does not want to be “responsible” for what may be written inside. I think he is scared someone might say that if he doesn’t email them, write them, call them, etc., they will kill themselves or something. Well if the idiot did, he would not be responsible. It’s a lame excuse to ignore his fans.
Keanu says he has all the money he could ever want and success. Why not focus on your fans a little Keanu? Afterall, it’s the money out of our pockets that have made you so rich.
You need to take lessons from Tom Cruise. The man is a fan’s dream. Plus, he is a bigger star than you.
I remember reading an article about how you yourself claimed to have turned into a “stalker” with Jack Nicholson on Somethings Gotta Give. How you followed him, watched everything he did, what he ate, etc. However, if one of us, your fans (or former in my case) did such a thing we would be locked up. My point is this, you are a “fan” of Nicholson, obviously, and you admire him and his work. You’re luckier than we are because you get to work with your Idols. Can you kinda understand how some of your fans may feel out here in your-paycheck land?

Anyway, Keanu will never read this but I know those of you that dream of the day to meet him need to realize it is a pipe dream. The guy does not care a rat’s ass about his fans. Oh, he’ll talk big in an interview and thank the fans but that’s about it. Don’t interrupt his world . . . don’t ask him for anything . . . but keep paying to see his movies and buying his DVD’s.

Every now & then I refresh my perspective on life by picking a celeb at random and purusing some of the allocated ‘worship’ sites/pages, etc. I stop and wonder what it would be like to have so many individuals express their undying ‘love-lust’ to me. How will I know who my real friends are? See, after reading all of these posts, I realise that this is what I was afraid would happen. I suspected that people would try to take advantage of my generosity, and that maybe I shouldn’t have given each of them a bike. But I tried to look into people and trust in their good side. I should have seen it coming, every Tom, Dick and Harry coming out of the wood work for money. Of course don’t like hearing of others afflicted with cancer, but I can’t help everyone.

Hello, Last night I have seen Keanue R. in my dream.
He was meditating in the middle of a Triangle, which was kind of hallographic view on the air (dark Orange colour). He was just on the air, in and meditating (kind of yoga position).
So far afterwards I have seen he was having dinner and wlaking smiling, but a war was just starting between som ecountries so we all had to run away from this place, we all had to fetch kind of plane, we had to reach to a safe area.
He was with me I was giding him for this purpose.
ànever became fan of any famous people, in fact I have seen some famous people very closely( being in kind of conferencés or so called receptions from fashion areas…)…
It isnt my style to watch any movie 4-5 times after eachother, if i consumed the story and the message enough.
Only one thing I shall say, I’m a future predicter, which tht can happen sometimes with dreams or sometimes in real life with various conditions (It comes thru family, for some centuries). I didn’t know he has a sick sister(!) too, maybe thr are somethings tht he has to know/hear via this dream.
Anyway I make it short, if anyone who close to him reads this email, hopefully he gets the message, but this si all about the un-explaniable life. So far, he will get the message soon or less.

give her death but afterwards she also ask for forgives because of me and my brother cause she want to brought us
up. When I was 13 years old my father went to Pakistan for his medication but after 6 months some how we came
to know that my father had went to Pakistan for his second marriage our whole family cried at that time cause my
father lied that he was going for medication and treatment of his sickness but he wasn’t sick at all. After a month I
and my Mom also came to Pakistan. We got lucky knowing that my father hadn’t got married yet on the next day of
our arrival was his marriage. At the instant moment my mother meets my father in Karachi and she cancelled his
wedding, my lied to the lady whom he was going to marry that he was a bachelor but my mother told the lady the
truth. Any how my father apologized to my mom and they started to live again. But in this entire dispute I was
getting bad in my father’s image because I am the 1 who got my father’s letter from the car when he was in
Pakistan and I was in Bahrain. The letter was from my father’s, sister and my father’s sister misguide him (that u r
fed up of your wife why don’t u come to Pakistan I had found a girl for u, and he should get married again and let
us die in Bahrain) I got this letter from my fathers car. In my father’s image I am the one because of which his
marriage was cancelled but I think if my father would have got married we would have been died till know. And
now my age is 21 my father doesn’t spends any money on me he treats me like an insect and if I need some thing I
have to beg for it first and still I don’t get it.
Due to my family problems I also can’t concentrate on my studies. But my other brother and sisters have every
thing they wear good clothes, good shoes, mobile phones, they get what ever they desire either how much
expensive it is my father bought them. But if I need a single pencil for my work I have to beg 30 times and after this
I get it with very bad compliments due to which I start Crying. There Is much more that I want to tell u but I know

Since I watched in august 2004 in one week the matrix trilogy and koyaanisquatsi and powaquatsi (all on dvd, some bought, one hired, one borrowed, as the nearest cinema is 500 km away) I became overexposed and nuts and wondered whether Mr Reeves ever heard or has seen these last two movies. And if so, then what? Who cares? To me there is and there isn´t any connection. Yet I cannot help to continue to wonder about reality, real life and consequences of choices.

i saw powaquatsi quite a few years ago and it made a big impression on me at the time.
obviously, I’ve also seen the matrix trilogy. the first one was best, i thought, because it opened my eyes to so many things and made people, in general, a lot more open to looking at the underlying meaning of things.
i like the way it gets us to question whether the reality we are experiencing is actually ‘real’ or whether there are other layers of reality, that we are just not aware of. and how our choices affect all of this.
i’ve found this site quite interesting and disturbing at the same time. interesting that so many people feel a connection to a ‘virtual’ stranger and long for real contact. disturbing that there is so much passion behind their messages when its all built on their imaginings!
i feel lucky in my anonymity. when i get to know ppl their reactions are only clouded by the minute impact of what i wear, how i look, my gender etc…not by powerful movie roles i have played.

Are dreaming and fantasy tools to overcome fear for living reality?
I came across other sites with messages of people that encountered keanu reeves and than write about it, sharing this experience even if it was just to say “hi” or viewing him standing somewhere. Judging his appearance and image, but still mostly passionate. I guess that is what fans are, expressing their passion.
There was some site where you could subscribe and get any address of any celebrety, to collect autographs and photo´s. I have never understood what kind of pleasure it gives to someone knowing they have an autograph of someone famous. And yet there seems a market for it. Does this mean that people live to chase someone famous, and in the mean time forget about their own life? Or do they want to be like the idol? An imitation?
And yet, like you, I also found this site looking for contact details for Keanu Reeves … and afterwards did not repeat looking for it.
At first after I submitted my comment here I felt shocked to see that there was no option to take my message out of here… Fear of what?
You choose to react to my message specifically. Making me feel choosen. Interesting and very weird that is. What role am I to play here?
I started this myself. Ok. For me Koyaanisquatsi related to the matrix movies as the actual world we live in chooses to adore economic power. And as a consequence of that choice it is destroying it´s nature. And if not that, Powaquaatsi “hurts” more, as it shows some “side effects” of the economic power choices on people without such power.
And yet, “poor people” in all their misery manage to preserve in colour, beauty and as people. Smiles that are so powerful on a child´s hopeful face. Yet we know how harsh and real its future will be. Our fantasy uses “hope” to difuse real life expectations, things we imagine we cannot influence, and yet we do. I also liked the matrix for its recognition of choice in perception of reality, and like in reality, the choice is only given to a lucky few.
The interesting thing about the real world and as shown in powaquaatsi, is that many people that do not have the opportunity to choose, or rather have fewer options to choose from, are less fearful of the world than people in developed countries, doing their 9 to 5 job, travel to work and back home, couch, tv, sleep, day in day out.
Nothing to loose, maybe we win taking the plunge.
Post it? Delete it? Forget about it? Oh well, the choice is to submit it, yet again… am I mad?

well, just like loads of other people, i read all the entries here-some touching, some moving, crazy, whatever. i’m a fan too!. but what’s been stuck in my mind is the comment by the supposed “KCR”.
it would be amazing if that was really really him,
because through constantine i progressively went pretty nuts over him but that’s probably a phase. and everyone says “get to know you, get to know you” but it all stems from his good looks ( i think. the superficial me. haha). so everybody, take a step back yeah, let the man breathe a little (if he realizes his gynormous fan base, that is) and well just enjoy him and his works as an actor.
stars are stars, its just any other job, it just so happens that in this day in age they make alot more money. 300 years ago actors didn’t make quite so much as lets say… a soldier in the british army.
I believe he’s one of the few A-list actors who has made sure it doesn’t go to his head. I’ve always thought he was a good actor despite critisism from everyone!
He’s up top on my books for being who he is and not changing it for others.

Well, If nothing else , reading this blog was certainly entertaining!!Reconfirms for me that people just don’t listen.
