Life on Fast Forward
January 10, 2004
I can’t believe it’s already 2004, and ten days into it to boot… The past few weeks have been mostly a blur—of getting ready for the holidays, dealing with creaky winter infrastructure around the homested, and making a mad dash through “hightened security” airports and holiday crowds to the sub-zero north to visit my mother, who recently suffered a stroke.
Plus, of course, getting over the cold from hell that I acquired on the trip.
So anyway, time to take a breather, and take a little stock of the new year…
Ah. Looks good.
On the whole, despite a few trials and tribulations, 2003 was a good year for me and mine, and I’m firmly confident that 2004 will be a better one.
I wouldn’t have it any other way…
